Great news for non-resident investors in the Canaries: a recent change in the law by the Spanish Tax authorities means a reduction in capital gains tax for non residents from a 35% down to 18%, effectively this means that at the point of sale the tax authorities will now only deduct 3% of the value declared in the new public title deed against any capital gains tax that may be due.
